Realtree Staff Mourns Passing of Outdoor Writer Mike Lambeth

By author of The Realblog with Stephanie Mallory

We at Realtree are sad to inform you of the passing of our dear friend and Realtree.com contributor Mike Lambeth. Mike was a much-loved outdoor writer and photographer with works appearing in numerous national magazines, books, newspapers and on websites.

Mike was passionate about his faith, family, friends and the outdoors. He was a friendly and fun-loving man who enjoyed building and nurturing friendships and acting as a mentor to a number of budding outdoor communicators.

"I don’t know anyone who just casually knew Mike," John Hafner, Realtree.com photo contributor, said. "You either never heard of him or he was your best friend. There was no in between with Mike."

Realtree.com Editor Will Brantley, said, "Mike was a valued contributor to Realtree.com. His ability to find a big deer story and turn the copy around fast was simply amazing. His stories were always good, and they were always correct. I think Mike's name is probably on more Rack Report stories than anyone else's. He was also a genuinely nice guy. He will be greatly missed by everyone in the Realtree family."
